Yea, it does ice on it - I was just down there and saw it. How much ice do you consider safe ?

3-4 inches is considered safe.

The fuzzyfisher has a picture from a couple days ago, it wasn't all the way capped, but I imagine is now, or will be very soon. Not sure how fast the ice forms up there, but my guess is it will be middle of the week before "safe" ice is on. Just my 2 cents though.

Did you happen to go by the dam? And if so, was it at least 4"?

[cool]Hey ice_sled, welcome to BFT/Utah board. Glad you decided to join us. Hope that you aren't a stranger and post your future reports here too.

As for Scofield, it may have a thin cap on it, but I don't think it's 3-4 inches yet (safe ice). As theekillerbee said, probably middle of this next week should do it with temps dropping down into the teens here in the SL Valley. I'd say that FOR SURE next weekend will be safe at Scofield.

hey ice sled welcom to the board!!

i would say you would have to be nuttier than i am to get on the ice i seen there 2 day ago..
the wind was blowing good that day and i could see the ice riseing up and down to the waves.. not a good sign of safe ice.. and with the temp. not droping much in the last 2 days i would not chance driveing all that way just to find no ice to fish..
