How long to safe ice - anywhere -
#1
Yeah I know I'm gonna take some heat, cuz I haven't been around much this past year. But I have a new past time since we got my daughter her horse, so I've been spending quality time with her and its been kinda fun watching her mature on the critter.

OK, I'm thinking I just have to hit hard water sometime before the end of the year, I like going up to Causey, Rockport, Jordanelle, but where else will have safe ice before the end of the year. (my idea of safe ice is 6+ inches)

So I hope you all have haad a good summer, I sure have missed a lot, and will attempt to tune in more often during the "HARD WATER" season.

We were just asking about you today while we fishing Mantua and downing on some hot pickled peppers, it reminded CBR of your beet salsa. Glad to see your still around.

If you want 6” of ice next weekend your should have your pick of most lakes that are froze over this week end, just watch the reports here on the board.

Before the end of the year you say? I'm hoping that there is lots of ice the week after christmas. The way things were last week and for the next projected week it looks good for 6" of ice in several places.

I'm hoping for Strawberry, Schofield and Mantua. If it continues to have cold days and nights we may see others by Christmas.

I'm still in the salsa business, and lo and behold I found some beet salsa the other day, now I'm saving it for a good day on the ice. This summer was a bad salsa year, late starting and low yeilding. Lets hope the ice fishing hold much more than the summer did, I only got to take my pontoon out 4 times, and that was all the fishing I did this summer.
