East Canyon

Anybody heard about ice conditions at East Canyon? I'm thinkin with reports coming from Causey,Echo and Rockport then E.Canyon wouldn't be far behind.Anybody know??

East is usually right about the same as Pineview, or just shortly after. It is relatively low in elevation and is quite deep, so it takes a while to cool off. The inlet end may freeze a little sooner.

I have been wondering the same thing but TKB is right, it takes a while for the whole lake to freeze. I would bet the area in the back has ice on it though, now if we can just get a report from someone that has been there and checked it out. WH2

Well I'm heading out with a couple of buddies this Friday somewhere.I got a good set of brass ones and wouldn't mind testing the ice there but don't know if they'd follow me or not.One way or another we'll be hittin the ice somewhere.Wherever we end up I'll post our results along with ice conditions.

In years past we have parked in the gravel parking lot were the john house is as you drive to the resort. You can look over the side and see if it is frozen. Good luck were ever you go.
