Scofield report 12-17
#1
I got on the ice about 9:30. Ice thickness was 12-14 inches of good hard ice. It was a nice day with little wind and there wasn't much snow on the ice either. Fishing was very good. I didn't get any monsters but had fast action for a mix of 14-15 1/2 inchers, lots of 8-12 inchers and many dinks. I was fishing in 26-28 ft of water. Early on, I was getting them all over the water column but as the day went on, they were closer to the bottom. It slowed after 1 PM, and I mainly caught smaller fish afterwards. I left at 3PM. I was using white tube jigs, rat finkies, and shrimpos tipped with crawler, below a flasher. I was near the dam. All bows, except for 1 13 inch cutt and one small 9 in. tiger trout. (It was good to see them there.) Crowds weren't bad at all. It was a good day on the water, and the area would be a good spot for kids.
Tight lines.

At least you found some fish. From the reports it sounds like it has been a very off year for Schofield.

Thanks for the report Doggonefishin, TKB is right, most of the reports I've read this year about Scofield make it out to be slow. From the sound of your report it was a good day with a fair amount of fish caught. I glad to hear someone is catching a few more fish there. WH2
