I went to the berry yesterday with my dad and wife. It definatly was nice to get out and enjoy some good old ice fishing. We headed the Marina along with everyone else. Once we got the tent set up and a few holes drilled we had a few hits. My dad ended up catching a cut about 19 inches. Then there was nothing!! So i move dropped the line down and on the way down hooked into a nice cut about 22 inches. Lost one more at the hole and then Nothing again. We were there for 6 hours and two fish, i was hoping for better but it beats going shopping!

Too bad it was so slow for you. Here's a tip... at the berry, try and stay away from the crowd, even if it it just another 50 yards or so away from them, you will get better results. I don't know whether it is a noise issue, or just 100 different presentations for the fish to pick and choose from. I have fished at Strawberry Bay in mid January when there were 300 other fisherman within 200 yards of me, and very few of them are catching fish, but being away from the crowd I have had 40+ fish days.
