need help with Ice conditions?

I just returned from California after 7 days, all the snow is gone in my yards, must have been quite a warm spell, there was alot of snow there when i left. I would like to go ice fishing before i have to return to work. I'm sure this info would benefit many others as well. So those of you who have Ice fished lately, what have you seen in the way of Ice conditions? Thanks

The only places I've been are rockport and strawberry both have good ice, rockport is better in the morning strawberry is atv safe if you watch where you are going
