[black]I'll let you know how Mantua is tomorrow. We're taking sleds on it. Last report I heard was 7"-9" inches plus it's been plenty cold so I know the ice should really be firmimg up.[/black]

How's it goin' T. Last report from pelican (7-8 days ago) was that it was getting soft. It's been pretty cold since then, Make sure you get an up to date report if you do go, ice may have gotten better. Let me know where you decide to go and happy fishing.

[cool]The edges at the Rock were getting soft a couple of weeks ago, but it's been plenty cold (especially at night) since then for the most part, so I'm sure it's just fine up there. After I slay the perch again this Saturday I'll let you know how safe it was (and is).
There's still plenty of perch at the Rock. You just have to move around a bit till you find where the big schools are coming through. A GOOD fishfinder is pretty much a must up there this year.
