Around christmas time we caught about 40 perch between 3 of us. Most were small, about 4 to 5 in. and one about 8. We also caught 5 or so bows, all about 14 to 17 in. It seemed that the bows were located around the perch. The bows were stuffed with perch. Was a blast.

[black]We were on Hyrum a week ago. We had so so luck but we talked to a guy I knew who caught several perch, bass and trout the weekend before. He said they put over 80 fish on the ice. Sure wasn't that way when we were there. He also swore by an orange jighead. I guess its worth a shot. Good Luck if you go.[/black]

Hey BLM!!
I was there at Hyrum today and didn't do so well either. Had a good one on my line, but wouldn't you know my luck, he fell off before I could see him. Felt like a nice one though.
Talked to a guy there that swears by white jig. He iced a few 'bows in the 2 lb. range.
I'm still trying to catch my first trout out of that place!
Maybe next weekend!

I usually ice fish hyrum once or twice a week. I have still not caught a perch out of that place but i manage to catch quite a lot of trout. I have found for trout that location is most important. If anyone needs a tip on where to go send me a pm, or i am always looking for people to go with.
