[black]Anyone interested in heading for Northern California and catching Humboldt Squid like the picture above? Right now the fishing for these is phenominal with anglers bringing in up to 20-30 squid a piece! That is a pile of calamari! Lee and Dixie Leavitt from Lee's Marine in Hyrum, went out last week and brought back 70 lbs of cleaned squid fillets. There are two fillets per squid and a fillet is as big as a large cookie sheet. [/black]
[black]I just talked to Capt. Rick Powers of Bodega Bay Sportsfishing Charters and he said the fishing is twice as good as the last couple of weeks and a trip down there would be some of the most exciting fishing you could experience. These squid average 50-60 lbs a piece! The charter cost is only $75 per person plus expenses. Anyone interested?[/black]
