It's a mystery why, when our Great Lakes waterways are so polluted that the state has to issue a fish-consumption advisory, that the Bay City Wastewater Treatment Plant is allowed to dump almost 40 million gallons of ''partially'' treated sewage into the Saginaw River again.
Their reason: ''The system was overwhelmed due to 0.75 inches of rain and snow melt.''
The Great Lakes are not Bay City's private sewage dump, and they should be fined enough to pay for the cleanup.
Question ;
Why aren't the EPA or the DNR doing their jobs?
