Hey guys and gals. CAT DRACULA here. It finally looks like we have enough ice to get some fishing in. I watched a couple avid fishermen catch a couple of Crappie on Lake Zorinsky in Omaha earlier today. Just remember to check it before you trust it. It sounds like they have been getting some Trout out at Standing Bear also. The Council Bluffs Winterfest Tournament is this weekend. I haven't heard any talk of cancellation, so we may get to fish it this year. It has been called off the last couple of years due to thin ice. If you know of a good spot, please post it so the guys with cabin fever can get out and catch some fish. Goodfishin

Thank you for the report on this never ending question of " Is the ice safe yet?"
Sounds like good news for the Tournament. Keep us posted on the stats and a report of the final out come.
Are you going to try for any kitties through the ice? Shure would be nice to hear of a kitty pulled through the ice. Was watching an educational program a couple of days ago that said that the kitties hibernate. Do you know if that is true?
