How's the fishing there? fishing for trout? Fly poles? If so what kind of flies? I need to break out the toon pretty soon.

The fishing down there is pretty weird right now. One day it's awesome, and the next, nothing. It's really weird because it doesn't seem like it's the weather that's causing this (just from what I've observed). They do stock it weekly with rainbows, but I'm going after some big carp. I'll leave the trout for the kids today haha. I have used my fly rod recently, and there is only one fly that I have observed on the water. MIDGES. LOTS OF MIDGES.

I'm planning on hitting BP this coming Thurday in my 'toon after work (About 4 pm) . I may hit it sooner. It's one of the few places I feel comfortable taking the toon out alone the W can't send you out to sea there like can happen on Utah lake. Although I've had white caps on some tooning expeditions on BP when that canyon breeze kicks up in the afternoons sometimes.
