Fish Galore!
#1
For the last four years I have been going to a spot about 2 hours drive south of Sydney - Australia - called Greenwell Point. This is a sleepy little place, probably with a population of 500, with a beautiful river and coastal bar.

There is a charter boat which operates out of there called the "Robert G" - this is a converted trawler about 45 foot long and really set up well for deep sea fishing.

There are usually six of us and we hire the boat for two days - going out 6am and coming back daily at about 4pm - staying in cabins at the local caravan park. There is an excellent pub where we eat evening meals (with the odd beer) and play pool, cards and the pokies.

We have never been disappointed with the catch and when we troll, we usually have 5 lines out - and we have hooked up all five lines at once on many occassions.

Last trip we landed about 30 yellow fin tuna and heaps of king fish - up to 20lb. We have caught and released marlin, landed many sharks of various types, and of course if the weather is too bad, we come in close to the shore and bottom fish with excellent results.

The air is always fresh and clean, the sea can be as rough as rough, but the company is always excellent and the fishing even better.

Greenwell Point, on the coast south of Sydney, about 20 klms from Nowra will always be My favorite fishing spot!

Submit your Fishing Adventure Stories to win great prizes at ReMemory.Com
