A crappie day
#1
Went out today in search of some slabs for a fish fry. Ended up finding a few some with some good size. I did breakout the new digital camera and with the new high-speed internet access I will try and post some pics. I hope this works.

I'll take another wild guess -- either Grantsville Reservoir or out by Saratoga Springs on UL?

I loves crappie, and I have Friday off, because it's Good Friday. If I get this guess right and I'm able to join you, it will be a GOOOOOD Friday indeed!

My guess would be Lake Powell. Thanks for sharing the pics!! It was several years ago around this time that I caught a mess of crappies at Provo Boat harbor, around the harbor docks, so it could be Utah Lake, but I'm sticking to my first guess.

I know I'm going to catch hell for this but don't tell anyone where that spot is. Take your daughter (I think anyway, the girl in the pic) back to that spot and have as much fun as you can before it gets spoiled by "lurkers".

[cool][#0000ff]I ass-umed that he meant a closer venue. In that case, I will have to guess Quail Creek. Good to see they are turning on. There are some REAL slabs in there.[/#0000ff]

All right time for a little honesty, now I did not chop down the cherry tree but I did catch those fish and since Kastmaster got the closest he gets to go, if he can make it. I kinda gave the hint to Tubegod/dude because I think I've read in some of his posts he has lived in Arizona. Those crappie were caught at the San Carlos Indian Rervation Reservoir just out-side of Globe Arizona. Scott it is good to hear from you, I thought either you or Brandon might bust me. I am on spring break with the family down here and my brother-in-law Travis, he's the one with me in one of the pictures, wanted to go and get the crappie. We usually go to Roosevelt but he wanted to try some place different. We caught fish all day long most were crappie, as you can see, but we caught a-lot of large mouth and I nailed one approximately 5-6 pound cat, that was a fun ride, I attached a pic of that because Travis said get that thing off my boat. I also attached a pic from our trip last Thanksgiving the crappie in the pic my little boy caught, it was the biggest of the day. Sorry to mis-lead about the location, but if you want I'll tell ya what we caught them on.
