House Bill Would Ban Asian Carp Imports
#1
WASHINGTON, D.C.-The U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee in late March voted to approve a bill that would ban future imports of Asian carp, a fish officials from several Great Lakes states fear will wreak havoc on the lakes' ecosystems. The bill would ban the importation and interstate transfer of Asian carp, which southern fish farmers depend on to control parasites. The bill passed the committee without dissent, but officials say some Southern lawmakers are likely to oppose the legislation on the House floor.

now there is a bill worth passing.

after watching a pork belly special on night line a couple weeks back, it makes me wonder how many porkers were attached to this bill?
