I WILL BE TAKEN MY BROTHER TO THE GREEN ON THE 23RD-25TH OF THIS MONTH. IT WILL BE HIS FIRST SINCE HE IS TRAVELING OUT FROM CALIFORNIA AND I HAVE ONLY BEEN ONCE LAST YEAR IN THE SUMMER.
WE WILL BE IN A DRIFT BOAT AND WILL FLOAT FROM THE DAM TO LITTLE HOLE.
I AM LOOKING FOR ANY HELP IN FLY CHOICE THIS TIME OF YEAR, A PLACE TO CAMP, AND HOPEFULLY GOOD SUNNY WEATHER.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

Post your question on the fly fishing board and you will get a ton of help.
Also, there is a fly shop in Dutch John that can give you a lot of help.
Who had a link to there?

I have always found that a sanjuan worm is always good and a glow bug. I use an atractor like a royal wolff, or royal coachman.
good luck and dont forget to take pictures that you can post.

Hey waterat,
I was out there this past weekend. I hiked from littlehole up river a couple miles. Fishing was pretty slow in the morning and picked up in the afternoon. I caught all my fish on a pheasant tail and brown zebra midge. I normally do well on a san juan worm, but didn't catch a fish on it this trip. The river was running really low, but i'm sure they will starting dumping more water soon. As far as a place to camp i would call flaming gorge lodge or trout creek outfitters and ask. There is also a camperworld there that i have stayed at but i think you might need a memebership. There are also several camp grounds between Dutch john and little hole. hope this helps!
