anyone fished belmont pier lately

im going out today after work need info on how good or bad the bite is and how the bait is because i went to the pier on wednesday and it was a chore making bait [cool]

I went to the Belmont Pier today to get live Smelts and it was too easy! We got ours in about 20 minutes. We went to Island White to try for some Halibuts but had no luck. We only caught a bunch of Sand Bass and Lizard Fish.

I heard that![:/] There are good reports of Halibuts being caught around Laguna and Dana Point by Floattubers and Kayaker fishing near the surf.
