Tooele/Settlement 4/22 afternoon

My Son had been begging me every day for a week to go fishing, so after his flagfootball game on saturday (about 4pm) we headed up to Settlement Canyon. We were there about 2hrs and saw about three fish pulled in but none of them were ours. The water is about 12 feet from the vegitation, probably about 6ft from the spillway.
This was a last minute idea, so all we had was dried out, leftover powerbait from last year (gotta get those kids to stop playing in the tacklebox) The chatter on the shoreline was that "green powerbait" was what was working (isn't that the usual answer when someone asks "what you fishing with"?)[][][angelic]
