Need help with Crappie fishing

I mostly fish on the Little Pee Dee river, which isn't known for it's crappie fishing. I've fished the Waccamaw river for years, but never targeted Crappie. Is the Waccamaw river worth trying for crappie? How do I target them?

I don't know much about fishing for crappie specifically, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know Santee is a good place for crappie, but i'm not too familiar with that area. Can you catch crappie year around?
