drove by the ladders this morning on my way to tabiona, and noticed a grundle of fishermen on the shore, and probably 10 float tubers out along the ice edge, and was wondering if any where BFT'ers. and if so, how did ya do ?...

Thanks for the drive by . I use to work with someone that went to Basin ever weekend and relied on him to report to me . But those day are gone now . Just wondering if any other spots are opening up now too . How about Soldier Creek for some open water ? Did any of the ice look like it was open along the edges and how much open ? 10 foot or less ? Ladders is always getting hammered first , but I bet a few were caught .

probably 20 feet all around edge but at the ladders, you couldn't hit the ice from the shore

Was the ice 20 feet from shore just in the area adjacent to the ladders or was there 20 feet of space in other area's of the lake as well, like in Jakes bay?

it was open in jakes bay also, but im not rembering how far out it was from shore,sorry

Thank you sooooo much, I'll be fishing there this week for sure. I hooked and released a 27in. about 9lb. bow up there last year when the ice was just comming off. later chuck

I here the fish really bite up there when the ice is coming off. Caught some nice size ones this year while the ice was still on in Feb.
