Jordan River late report...

I went down to the Jordan with my mom and brother just before this lovely front hit... The carp are in full swing down there!!! I caught one at 12#'s, my brother caught 3 between 3-8#'s, and my mom got 2 at around 5#'s a piece, and a big fat 4# sucker. I don't know why, but the suckers aren't into the area I primarily fish near as well this year. Oh yeah, we also managed a few big sized mud cats. Everything came off of either a chunk of worm, or a glob of white bread fished right on the bottom. Relatively light weight, too. I was using 3/8oz. at the max, and just a big sized split shot seemed to work best.

Once this weather gets better again the fish should be bitting just as well. Gotta love this lovely spring weather...
