Pelican Bluegill Question
#1
Heading to Pelican shortly and was wondering how to recognize/find the bluegills that are on the beds. Are we looking for a certain depth of water and can you see the beds with the fish on them? Does it matter? In the past, we'd hit the submerged reeds.

Also, I've only been to the lake once and was hoping someone could point me in a good direction on places to try fishing. We're going to be on a pontoon and a tube.

Thanks!

All in the reeds all along the banks anywhere from 3'' to 5' expecialy along the south side on west end of boat ramp about 500 yards. I saw thousands on sonar and you would watch them cruise around your legs

there is dirt roads all along the south end of the lake and a few picnic tables and that is where i fish and it has been best for me in all the lake. ( I have fished that lake religously for years)

Thanks for all your good info. Maybe I'll post some pics (assuming we catch a few) [Wink]
