We hit Pelican yesterday to try out some new line of lures that will be sold on [#ff0000]funnyfarm[/#ff0000]fishing in a short time .....
We thought the fishing was going to be tuff but with in two or three cast we both had fish on and by days end we boated more then 20 fish each not bad for a blue bird day after the storms we just had...
The fish ranged from 8 to 16 inches long and we had blue gills that would inhale a 4 1/2 inch sinko, The day was blue skies and a lot of fun....

[cool]The fishing looks really hot out there right now. Wish I could make it out there. On Sportsbeat Saturday on KSL they had a tiny fishing segment where Rod Zundel was out there with somebody and they were using black maribou jigs tipped with Berkley power maggots and they were knocking the crap outta then ('gils and largies). Looks like a lotta fun!

When I was up there a week and a half ago I took the opportunity in the mid afternoon to make about 10 casts with a topwater and ended up with two, one largmouth and one gill. Yes, a gill on topwater... kinda fun. I'm sure the early morning would be a blast with a topwater lure.

Top water is a lot of fun but with the bad weekend it was and being the first blue bird day after....
Most fish was going to be as deep as the lake gets so we fished in 10 to 12 feet of water first....
We looked in the reeds around 9:00 and found only a couple of small fish so we went deep again for a wile till after noon then we found moor fish in the reeds.....
Oh yes I see you changed from what I had put to the funny farm at leasted I know you like to edit other peoples post....
