Bear river Deweyville ramp 6-3-06

I made it up to Deweyville ramp last night. There was one other boat up there on the river till very late, I think they were out even later than us and we were there till about 1:00am. The river was running pretty fast and it was giving my 5hp motor a run for its money in a few spots, very interesting in the dark. [shocked]

We caught alot of catfish and a few carp. The biggest cat being about 16". There were 3 of us and we kept about 14 cats. We went upstream a bit and it was very pretty while it was still light out. Our bait was worms or chicken livers.

Sorry no pics but it was about 3:00am and I was cleaning all those fish.

Did you make it past the huge bend in the river and fish any farther up?

Nice report John, thanks for posting it. I thought I knew every ramp on the Bear but I'm not familiar with the Deweyville ramp, where is it located?
