My brother trfishin and I hit Pelican for some largemouth bass and some BULL GILL action. We had a great trip we caught many huge bluegill and some really nice bass. Water temp was 75.8, hot with not to many bugs. Lake is full and came up at least 10 inches from Sunday to Monday. Fished mainly for bass but caught some nice bluegills. Not to much top water action with the wind, but caught bass and bluegills on everything we threw at them. Great trip, nice weather, and good memories catchin the big ones.

Nice fish tr, I hope to stop there on my way to the FG next month. It looks a little warmer than last time we were there, eh?

hey fsh4fun, My brother and I sure had a lot of fun at pelican lake on sunday and monday. The weather was great. It was 94 to 97 degrees. I did'nt need the ice bar as it was hard to keep the water cold. My brother just bought a new 1850 Lund Tyee Grand Sport boat. Sure is an awesome boat, it has all the features that you have ever dreamed of. It has a Mercury 200HP supercharged 4 stroke outboard, 9.9 kicker, and an 80lb. thrust electric motor on the bow. That new 200 HP Mercury has enough power to catch any of the wave runners that mess up our fishin hole, and with the supercharger on it we can [pirate]suck them up and spit them out the exhaust. The captain was a little nervous when i took his new boat into the reeds were no bass boat has ever gone before until we started catchin some bass. I told him not to be nervous it's just a boat and he did'nt think it was to funny. I did'nt either when he came up to the bow of the boat and started to beat[mad] $50,000.00 worth out of me. No just kidding he was'nt worried at all he let me go where ever I wanted. We sure kicked some Bass and we did'nt keep any Bass or Bluegills, we just stopped at Kentucky Fried Chicken and pigged out, saving some bass and bluegills for next time. all in all one of the best trips i have ever been on. Hey Catman,
Should take you about 4 1/2 hours from Odgen. I live in Evanston and it took 3 1/2 driving fairly slow pulling the boat with a 1/2 ton Avalanche. I'm not very good with directions. PM my brother trfishin and he is a good direction giver.

Those are some really nice fish! From the sounds of things, a trip to Pelican might be in order! Now I just need to figure out how to finance it!
