At least you found some willing fish! I had wondered if the recent pounding of rain would muddy the waters up there, as it has been spilling for some time. I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to go up there again....hopefully soon.

TheeKillerbee, we will be going again on the 24th, can't make it this next weekend as we are having an archery 3D shoot at the Club on Base Sat. and Sunday is Father's day as well as my Birthday. If you guys make it up before then, give us a report.[cool]

[red]Were you folks in the Crestliner flying your BFT flag? I hope that wasn't you in the Bayliner. Where are the wake patrol folks when you need them? We were up there in the afternoon with my kids looking for the Kokes but didn't find any. My boys picked up a couple Browns, one going 21" and a tiny rainbow pulling leaded lines. Actually the bigger Brown hit a suspending minnow next to shore. We pulled up and there were about a dozen little minnows going airborne along the shore so my son tossed the the lure out along the edge of them and hooked up. Kinda fun. [/red]

Hi guys, I fish Porcupine quite a bit and as far as I know, a boat motor cannot be more than 10 HP? I think that is right.
The regulations up there state something about not creating wakes...I do not know all the details.
All I know is I've fished up there at Porcupine a lot, and usually most people respect the regs. It really hasn't been a problem, at least every time I've been there.

The regulations on the states fishing waters do not show any type of motor or wake restrictions on Porcupine. I think this is a local policy to reduce the use of pleasure boaters. I haven't really seen a problem there either, but like I say if I'm on the opposite end of the lake from where I'm parked I do start the Big motor up and head in unless there are alot of boats or canoes on the lake. If someone can show me where this law is documented I will not run my big motor. when I head in. I'm not trying to start an arguement, I just want to make sure in within the law. [cool]

[red]That was us in the Tracker. I have BFT stickers on the side glass but haven't come up with a decent flag pole yet. We were going to cruise by and say Hi but always seemed to be heading some other direction. [/red]

[#ff0000]There used to be signs up there saying wakeless only and word of mouth over the years before that. I don't know any more other than that. I assumed it was privately owned and it was the rules of the folks that manage it. There I go spreading rumors again. Anybody know for sure? I like the wakeless deal up there but truth be told, I brought ours up on plane for about 20 seconds to blow the cobs out after idling around all afternoon before putting it on the trailer but tried to be discreet in the little cove there. [#ff0000]I was a little tempted to break out the dodgers and cowbells to see if that would help. Sounded like it helped stir up the Kokes for you a little. Makes sense with the water clarity. [/#ff0000]
