Willard in a Toon 6-17-06 w/pic

Well my first trip to Willard was successful. I got on the water at 2:00 and had to leave at 8:00. Caught 2 wipers and 4 Channel cats. I can see I will have to go back. The fight the wipers give you are awesome on light tackle sitting in a toon.

I launched at the south dike southwest corner. I tried rattle traps in various colors, different color jigs and a few diving rapalas but what worked was cut bait even for the wipers.
