i seen this on the news. that's alot of fertilizer. just think how happy the splake are now. [cool]

It would have made more sense to make all trout catch and release and add some Tigers to the mix. We always seem to be so afraid to shut down harvest in this state. 5 years of only catch and release and I don't think you would see too many chubs. It wouldn't cost anything and may even make this a destination fishery.

i seen this on the news a week or so ago..

but i do not agree with the DWR about the no use of live bait... i think we should be able to use live bait as long as we catch the bait from the waters we are fishing..

and transporting live fish shoud not be aloud at all with stiff fines for that...

it's not the fishing with live bait that is the problem!! it's the transporting of live fish that is the problem!!

and even with that said i think lakes like starvation would benifit from live bait fishing.. by the fisherman planting new chub,shiners, in the lake.. might be just what the lake needs to get it going again..

Maybe they should have put the chubs in Starvation or Jordanelle or the Gorge for food for the other fish.....
