Slow day on the boards today......
I got off work early enough yesterday to do a little fishing. I was going to go back to Bassrods "office" but caught a wild hair and fished/floated the DC island instead. Nothing great, I caught all of the very small smallies I cared to reel in, a few moderate ones, but not one big one. I also caught a modest walleye and a couple of green sunfish, one of which completely engulfed a 3 inch maniac stickbait. Stickbaits (brown and green) and roadrunners tipped with worm were the hot tickets.
Anyway, Happy Independence day all and good fishing.
