Candlewood Lake
#1
We pulled into the southern ramp at 6, and got yelled at by the DEP for coming in the wrong way.[ Go to the left, not right.] We took my boat so we could cover the whole lake in a day. Started off getting rockbass, then Bob kept getting smallies in the 6-8" range. I finally got a 191/2" smallie at 12 on crawdad and we waited till Bob got a 14" lgmouth at 2:30 to call it a day. [ blue bird skys?] Alot of boat traffic and some wind, but still a great day to fish with out a rain coat. we seem to get more fish on the northern end. Next time we'll launch there.
