We have to learn to use this earth's resources wisely, all of it's resouces inlcluding fish and oil. It's not one or the other, it's how we use the oil and gas resources and protect our environment at the same time. Unless you want to be dependent on the middle east forever, there has to be more oil/gas production in this country. Doing it without harming the environment is the challenge. If we can put a man on the moon, we can figure this out too.

It's just not possible. The way we get away from being dependent on the middle east and save the environment at the same time is to get off fossil fuels. We must learn to harness solar and wind power more efficently, and probably build more dam's to provide more hydro-electric power, etc.

Increasing the oil and gas production in this country, or anywhere else for that matter, will only increase the 77,000,000 tons of greenhouse gases that we already pour into our atmosphere every day.

I for one hope the fish win this battle. But with the current attitude of politicans both locally and nationaly, I won't hold my breath...

I for one, believe in our technoligies and ingenuity and know that it is possible. There are many ways to skin a cat and many ways to harvest fossil fuels. My glass is half full on this one.

None of the responses recognizes that the threat at Strawberry is now. You can't wait for technology to save our fisheries and saying we need oil and gas so there is nothing we can do about it is just plain lazy.
Do you want your kids and their kids to be able to fish in Utah?
