Has anyone tried a korky minnow rig at pineview for tigers ?

4 years ago i watched 3 people land 9 tigers just sinking a piece of perch on the bottom. I had to watch for a while to figure it out but your idea could work just the same. I have used smelt ice fishing for them and had minimal success but atleast it was success.
