I lived in twin falls a number of years and they were always catching eyes out of Salmon Falls. A white rooster tail trolled fast enought to spin the blade was the go to bait for the eyes back then(1990-1995). Alot could have changed by now. That is a long drive from here. We spent my wifes 21 b-day in jackpot in 2003 and the reservoir looked the same as it did when i fished it.

Do you know of any tackle shops in the area that would have the latest scoop?

Blue Lakes Sporting Goods closed their doors shortly after Sportsmans Warehouse came to town. Our local Walleye Club just held a fun fish day last Saturday tho I didn't attend the reports were not good. Our local club also held a 2 day tourney June 17-18 40 plus boats with almost half the field never weighing a walleye. The winning weight for the 2 days was 14 plus pounds pretty poor fishing I'd say. Last year the 2 day weight was 12 plus pounds really poor fishing me and my partner only weighed 1 fish in two days last year. This body of water has been in the toilet for the last couple of years. After averaging two weekends a month down there last year I swore the place off and bought a non resident Utah fishing license this year. I have made 4 trips to Willard this year and my worst trip was still better than any weekend spent at Salmon Falls last year. It has been a couple of years since I personaly fished Goose Creek near Oakley. I do get a report or two from friends that fish it and they say the fish have been small. I can tell you that the road is a dusty gravel son of a gun so make sure you have a good cover on you boat. Also the camping is very limited there. If I were you I would save the money you'll spend on fuel and take your family out to dinner before I spent the time coming up here to either one of these bodys of water. Just my 2 cents worth but the facts don't lie. Let me know if you need any more.
