lake powell questions

hey guys. im thinhking about a trip down to powell in a month or two. anyone know some good places that are accesable by a tube or kayak? i would like to catch the variety of species, but mostly the striper. any suggestions that might maximize my chances of hooking up to some stripers i my toon.

well if your headed to bullfrog then there are a lot of good places to fish all around there.. you will just have to watch out for all the big boats that will be out and about..

as for cathing striper's chumming anchoves and fishing with anchoves works realy good that time of year..
take some white and chartreuse twist tails for the smalleys and black's. run a worm and jig head over a rock pile for some walleye's and catfish can be had most any time but seam to be better at night..

Lots of remote launch sites up at Hite, a good place for you since the boat ramp is gone. Pick a remote canyon you can drive into. Farley is a popular canyon and you can launch small boats there with 4WD. Or better yet, drive into the San Juan arm.
