[cool][#0000ff]Wow! Carp herpes. Wonder if it is an STD...and, if so, how it is transmitted. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It will be interesting to see the results of their experiments. I'm sure the Utah Lake fans will be watching. [/#0000ff]

Sweet! I have no problem polishing them stupid things off. I think it will take many years of studying before anything like this could be approved...especially by the FDA and the USFW, but heck, it is a great idea! Until then, I'll just have to do my part!

[cool][#0000ff]Yeah, until they perfect the "targeted" disease thing, we can make the carp our targets for more "pointed" eradication. It might not be as thorough and complete, but it sure is fun...and deadly for carp who catch the "arrow virus".[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If all else fails, just bring your pontoon paddles and flail away. I heard tell that carp don't hold up too well against brutal clubbing either.[/#0000ff]

They don't like gettin' thumped by a boat motor either. If I run across a bunch out in open water where I don't have to worry about banging up my old boat, I'll run through them flat out. It's kinda fun to hear the thump & know you've done a good thing.

Anyone have any insight on how a program like this would affect other fish, like, say, the june sucker? It seems that that is one of the big obstacles for removing carp in Utah Lake.
