Brownlee 9-16
#1
We fished Brownlee Reservoir out of Woodhead Park the weekend of the 16th. The crappie bite was good if you could locate the schools, and the bass bite was a little more difficult, which was rare. We did catch alot of big Bluegill on crankbaits again, which is always bizzare. We released everything, but I did check out the cleaning station daily to see what was being caught and 50% were nice size Bluegill, 40% crappie and the rest were catfish and bass.

Thanks for the report. Had been thinking about going to Brownlee this month myself but ran out of time. The fishing can be really good and if you like to hunt chukers that's an added bonus. I took my boat to Twin Falls yesterday and put her in storage for the winter, and I have to say it just didn't seem right. The seasons just go by to quick, and with a controlled bull elk tag that opens October 15 and a guided salmon fishing trip October 23-25 on the Whynoochee River in Washington and a controlled muzzleloader Mule deer hunt that runs November 14-24 I didn't know when I was going to find time to use her again. So I decided it was time to winterize her and tuck her in for the winter. Maybe me and Steph (wife) can hook up with you guys next year at Brownlee it's been a couple of years since we were up there, but it was one of our favorite places to go when our daughter was younger and still at home. I love fishing Oxbow and have caught some really nice smb on that body of water.
