Couldn't handle the bullets
#1
Tried fishing the west side of utah lake Saturday afternoon. After seeing several bullets skipping across the water and hearing the buzz of bullets going over our heads, we headed back to the ramp. What the @#$@$@ is wrong with these so called sportsmen?

Frozenover and I had the same experience a few months ago.
911 was called, but there wasn't a response that we saw. It is very scary when you are sitting out there with no protection.

These are not sportsmen, hunters, or even responsible people. They are idiots.

Every responsible person knows the first rule is to know where your bullet is going and have a good backstop.
I have seen as many as eight trucks up in one little area, all shooting in different directions.

With the increase of people on that side of the lake, maybe there will be an increase in law enforcement presence there. Hopefully it won't take someone getting killed to put a stop to this activity.
I enjoy going out and shooting myself. I am always careful in the places I go. I hate to see freedoms being taken away because of some idiots.

I believe a few of the fires on that side of the lake were also started by people out shooting.

The west side can be a brutal place on the weekends. Lots of people out there flingin' lead every which way!

Did you catch any fish?

Had that happen to me south of the bubble-up several years back. I was out with my kids on my boat when suddenly lead started buzzing by. Called the Orem PD who in turn called the county sheriffs. We decided to pack up and went home.
Saw the cops talking to a bunch of folks on our way home. Some people just don't have common sense.

Are you sure that the carp haven't armed themselves and are fighting back now? We may need to organize a posse...
