Kevin and I fished Electric Lake today and caught 86 fish. We would have caught many more had I kept up my side better, by putting on my strike indicator sooner. We had the whole lake to ourselves all day long. Some nice men, who are working on plugging the hole into the mine shaft, gave us a ride back up on their snowmobiles. Great birthday present to get out with great company and have such a nice day on the ice. Thanks for the heads up Fuzzfisher.
Interesting facts:
They are pumping 4,000 gallons of water per minute back into the reservoir from the mine shaft, and they are pumping 10,000 gallons of water per minute out of the mine shaft into Scofield Reservoir. Soon they will have another pump in place that will pump another 10,000 gallons a minute back into Electric Lake. They are working on a method to seal the hole.
