Of course they feel pain, could you imagine how boring it is swimming around all day without any boats or fishing poles to play with. Thats why they impail themselves on your hook, you see they don't feel the hook, just the pain of not having the ability to make such fun toys. . . Oh you didn't think that you were tricking them with all of that garb that you drop down to them did you?
