In case anyone is wondering. The weekend rain and runoff caused the water to be pretty cloudy (very disappointing). Anyway, I caught two of the smallest wipers I've ever caught...that was it.

I believe we saw you this morning at the mouth of the inlet, flinging flies. You had better luck than we did.

Yep. That was me. What a crappy day. I was throwing a white zonker with barbell eyes.. I caught the two fish in the marine on a fly... yellow barbells, crystal chenille wrapped around the eyes, crystal and chartuese crystalflash for the body and tail.

I fished the south marine and along the rocks at the opening about 200 yards in either direction. I tried flies that rattled, I threw poppers....a really frustrating day. (and I brought the cooler planning for a fish fry... isn't that how it always goes? Smile

I talked to a guy at the north marine who caught three but I know he had to work hard for them. The water at the north end was just as murky.

Good luck to all of ya... I want at least one more good willard day before I put away the wiper flies...

TD and I did pretty well. We both caught 10+ cats each and both scored some wipers. TD is heading there tomorrow again I believe, so he is probably going to post a 2 day report instead of 2 separate ones. [Smile]
