[black]Now isn't that interesting.[/black]
[black][/black]
[black]This judge was honest enough to recuse herself for a self proclaimed prejudice, but not before spewing out a few self righteous condemnations to an "innocent until proven guilty ?" defendent and then arresting a spectator for sighing and leaving the courtroom(as, I believe, that person had every right to do). [/black]
[black][/black]
[black]I know she does have the responsibility to maintain order in the court, however, she ordered the arrest of a person that had already left the courtroom. Huh ?[/black]
[black][/black]
[black]I don't know if those guys were poachers or not, but regardless, from what I saw on that video, in this case, I do not think they got what I would call fair treatment from the justice system. [/black]

I agree and I also don't think the bench is the proper place for her to express her PERSONAL views and to chastize the defendants based off of them. I hope her name follows Judge Young's name on the very short list of state judges that weren't retained because they were so inept at their jobs (Judge Young lost his retention election because he was so lenient with sex offenders). Her views had nothing to do with poaching (the alleged crime) and everything to do with hunting, which is a perfectly legal and traditional activity.

she has no business being on the bench as a judge. she dislikes hunters, so whenever a hunter brakes the law she is going to punish you to the max, talk about bias. if they were poachers then fine them, take away licences priveledge for a few years, but don't sit up there and preech about cute and furry a deer is, come on.

She needs to lose her job as a judge and become an op/ed writer for the la times. Hunters everywhere should make an example out of this self righteous, bleeding heart.

Does anyone know the website to sign up to vote her out or voice an opinion?
What a joke. It makes you wonder if the other judge in the previous post was a sex offender himself??? People like this need to be put on a desert island without food, given a rifle and put one deer on it. See how long they last![mad]
I am by no means for poaching, but isn't a judge supposed to have an open mind and treat everyone fairly?

The website is www.firejudgelewis.com but it really is just urging those sportsmen and sportswomen who take the time to vote and help ensure our voices are heard to go to the ballots and vote against her re-election and since very few people actually take the time to vote for or against judges, it really could carry some weight if we all got out there on Nov 7 and give the big NO to her re-election [cool]!!!!

Well said guys!

I also tend to question the intelligence of a anyone who asks a hunter "Have you ever actually looked at a deer when their alive?".

The most obvious answer to that question is "Yes, right before I shoot them they are alive, and I see them very clearly through my scope" DAAAAAAAAA, LADY!!!!!!!!!!

most importantly we need to bring this woman out of power before she decides to run for a political office.
Sadly just voteing her out will only end her judicial state and she will still enjoy our tax dollars during her retirement.... there is no justice in this world.
they say justice is blind but does it carry a sickle bar and a dark cape?

A HUGE Thank you, voters of Salt Lake, Tooele, and Summit counties who voted this nutty judge out of office yesterday. I wonder what HER eyes looked like last night as she saw the election returns come in. [Smile]
