Thanks for the link.

It is always good to have a hook cross reference when you are tying.

[cool][green]Hi there fishster and welcome to the BFT and most particularly the Fly Fishing forum. Hang around for a while and get to know all the fine folks that make this board fun & interesting. Care to tell us where you fish and what species is your favorite target?[/green]

Thanks for the welcome!
I live in Austin and fish lakes and rivers. Most of the time here it is panfish and bass. We have a nice trout stocking program in the state but only one river really has any cary overs. The Guadalupe River. A huge population explosion has put a lot of pressure on my favorite spots. I was just checking to see what the rest of the world is catching. We had a pretty bad dry spell this summer. I will post from time yo time and let you guys know what is going on, fish wise, down here.
Thanks!!!

[cool][green]Thanks fishster for the feedback. Know what you mean by a dry spell. We finally had our first bit of rain last week for it hasn't rained since last April. Big storm. Around an 1/8 of an inch. LOL. Here in SoCal our "Pay to fish lakes" are stocked with some pretty good size trout which includes bows, browns and steelheads. Now that our weather is finally cooling off will have to start assembling my gear for a go at those biggies or whatever.[/green]

You and me both.. was just talking to a coworker and was "x splaining" how the trout may be more likely to come up in the cooler water and maybe I can get a cast or two out with a clouser etc to entice a bass or two.. I am thinking it is also time to get the poppers out and use them to help suspend some of the other flies.. I think this is gonna get real fun real soon.... now. .if santa will only let me go to bass pro while in Nashville... lol.. but that could be verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy dangerous.....

[green][cool]Hey there macfly55 - go have a blast at BassPro. If someone mentions that you don't need another rod or reel etc, just use the sane excuse as the ladies do when questioned about buying another purse, pair of shoes etc, etc, etc. Couldn't expect a guy to go fishing with a reel that didn't match his outfit.[Tongue][/green]

[black]Went to Bass Pro while in Vegas. What a trip, half the building is a casino! Good Idea I guess, win a few bucks then go spend it on more gear. The fly fishing dept is lacking, but it is in the desert.[Wink][/black]

I do like your reasoning but all we ALL know that is not how it works.. it is like the marriage contract fine print no MAN ever reads.. and it states..
[red]quote....

[/red][red]" WITHIN THE BOUNDS OF THIS MARRIAGE CONTRACT AND TO MAKE IT EASY FOR THE MALE TO REMEMBER AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING IS STATED IN THE MOST SIMPLE AND DIRECT TERMS POSSIBLE.

CURRENT, FUTURE, IMAGINED, PROPERTY IS DIVIDED AS FOLLOWS:

- WHAT IS HERS IS HERS

- WHAT IS HIS IS HERS

VIOLATION OF THIS PART OF THIS CONTRACT WILL RESULT IN SEVERE PENALTIES AND LOSS OF ALL PRIVLEGES THAT THE MAN THOUGHT HE HAD BUT THE WOMAN KNOWS BETTER...." unquoute
