NO LIMITS TODAY
#1
[Sad][Sad][Sad]Fred and Sonny were waiting for me to pick them up at Campo's this morning. When I got to my boat there was a strong cold wind blowing and there was very little water to be found. Decided not to put the boat down and drive to Campo's and give Fred and Sonny the bad news, but when I pulled up I could see the look on their faces and when I gave them the bad news they knew what was coming and didn't argue. It was one of those mornings when safety is the most important thing, there will be other days. The fish are in the marshes and I wouldn't have hesitated to go if there was sufficient water to get around the marsh with. It was a good decision and it would have been "ANOTHER GREAT DAY ON THE WATER"

I feel your pain partner. I hit and miss usually about 3 times out of 10. I have about a 2 hour ride to the inlet from where I live now, and the weather man is rarely right on.

My bad days usually start when I get to the mouth of the jetties and see "mountains" in the horizon. I have a 2 mile ride through the inlet just to get to the mouth. Last time, it was calling for 2' seas, but I had no such luck. I went through all the trouble of the long drive, icing down the boat, unloading the boat, etc........ Only to find the ocean way rougher than previously called for. But, that's the breaks. There's nothing worse than making that trip expecting a great day on the water only to be stuck piddling around the inlet because of foul water conditions. But, if you want to fish, that's the chance you have to take.[cool]
