[cool]I haven't been there lately, but supposedly the water temp was 40 degrees the day after T-Day. However, I'm sure that this entire has gotten below zero up there in the early mornings, so there may be some safe ice in the bay at the dam by this weekend. Don't know if I'd make the 2 hour drive just to find out though, but I guess if it wasn't safe you could just drive the extra 25 miles and fish Huntington, but this extra snow this week may have insulated the ice and made it weaker...

My dad will be headed up that way tomorrow to see if elk have moved onto the property yet, and it's litterally right on Scofield's west side. It was indeed well above freezing after Thanksgiving. My F150's outside temp gauge was reading 40* or above. With this latest storm, who knows. I'd have to still say it'll be a few days, though.

I fished Scofield on turkey day and there was no ice on the lake at all. A little between the docks on the edge I guess but none on the lake. It's been cold this week but I would be very careful before trusting any ice on the lake.
