All-Star Pro-Baseball Player Mike Moore Bags Possible World Record Interior Grizzly
#1
Initial measurements mark this prodiguous bear as a record.

(PRWeb) December 2, 2006 -- Mike Moore was hunting with master guide Rocky McElveen in early September 2006 in the Alaskan wilderness and after an amazing stalk took down this huge Grizzly. Measurements of the skull reveal that it is a possible world record.

Master story teller, big game guide, and author Rocky McElveen, ("Wild Men, Wild Alaska" is his latest book) was guiding Mike Moore. They were based out of Rocky's Holitna River Lodge deep in the interior of Alaska about 250 miles northwest of Anchorage.

Rocky had placed Mike Moore's group with one of his top assistant guides in the area Rocky had previously seen this giant Grizzly, which are also known as "Interior Brown Bears". This officially differentiates them from the Coastal Brown Bear. The interior bear hibernate longer and live in a more harsh and colder climate than their coastal cousins thus they are generally smaller and considered meaner probably due to having to work harder for their food and having a shorter summer in which to feed.

You wouldn't know it by the size of this Grizzly, however. Regulations require a "drying off" period for the skull so it will soon be re-measured and if the original measurements remain constant could be deemed a world record.
