Women & Wildlife Awards
#1
During March, National Women's History Month honors the achievements that women have made to our society. Wildlife science is a physically and intellectually challenging field where women are often a minority; yet many women have excelled in wildlife careers across the nation and particularly in New Jersey. The Women & Wildlife Awards celebrate and recognize New Jersey's outstanding women wildlife biologists and wildlife rehabilitators.

The Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey (CWF) will present two awards: one for Leadership and another for Inspiration. The winners will be honored for their achievements, for the advances they have made for women in the profession and for their contributions to New Jersey's wildlife. By acknowledging these special individuals, we hope to encourage more young women to see the possibilities that the biological sciences, especially wildlife biology, can offer.

We encourage you to take this opportunity to nominate a woman who has distinguished herself as a wildlife biologist or wildlife rehabilitator. Winners will be honored during the Women & Wildlife Awards reception on March 25, 2007 at the historic Prallsville Mills in Stockton, New Jersey. An art and photography show featuring New Jersey's diverse wildlife will complement this fund-raising event.
