Lindon Boat Harbor Harvest
#1
After an unsuccessful attempt to get up to Strawberry due to car trouble, I went to Lindon Boat Harbor in order to salvage a planned ice fishing day with my kids and their friends. The white bass were pretty much getting ambushed at the mouth of the harbor with anglers bringing in some of the biggest white bass I've seen in years. We decided to join the action, first off drilling holes at the fringe of the crowd but slowly worked ourselves in, since we weren't getting any hookups. Brought ten whities with the biggest ones at 14.5". Saw a couple of anglers fill up a Jet Sled Jr. as we left home around 3:30. Did lots of hole hopping to catch up with the school of whities. Ice in the harbor was a good 4" of clear ice and 2" at the mouth of the harbor.

We were using Heddon Sonars, but anything shiny was effective. I found it more effective to 'sweeten' it up a bit with a nightcrawler and let it hit bottom, and jig it up/down ever slowly.
