Heard some rumors of unsafe ice at Pelican. Anyone been there recently or have any second-hand reports?

[cool]I've heard the same thing over on "the other board" started by a BFT member. I'm thinking it won't be good to go again till that cold after that cold snap coming in after next week, Kent, but that's just my .02 A bunch of us from "the other board" are going on the 26th. Your invited to join our party out there if you want...

Hey Kent I didn't make to Pelican but have spent the best part of the last week and a half in the basin. There isn't any safe ice up there. Temps in the high 40s to low 50s everyday. Out working in t-shirts. The ice that has formed on the Berry has been broken up and blown to shore twice now in the last week. Sorry bud I know your in a hurry to get some time in.

Marty, that doesn't sound too encouraging. Sounds like we will be fishing the higher elevation lakes (assuming we can get to them), or if all else fails I guess we will get lots of swimming in at the Super 8 Motel.[unsure]
