My brother is flying in from Nebraska on Friday and we are going ice fishing Saturday. I was wondering is any of you have any advice on were to go?
Thanks,

[black][black]Depends on what you want to catch and how far you are willing to drive. I will assume that you don't want to drive more than about an hour into Idaho. If you are careful you should be able to ice fish about any reservoir in SE Idaho by this weekend. You may know more about some of these reservoirs than I do but here are some ideas.
For numbers of rainbow trout Montpelier, Deep Creek and Devil Creek. Crowthers, Foster and Hawkins may also be good for numbers. For larger rainbow trout American Falls Reservoir, Chesterfield, Weston, Treasureton or Daniels. If you would like a good mix try some of the reservoirs around Preston. At Glendale, Foster and Twin Lakes you have a chance at catching rainbows, perch, LMB, crappie and bluegill. Lamont, Winder and Johnson have rainbows, perch, LMB, and bluegill. Condie might be one of the better places for numbers of perch and you also have a chance of catching some bluegills and LMB. Alexander Reservoir has a few large perch as well as some rainbows and channel cats. Oneida Reservoir has walleye, perch, smallmouth bass and possibly a few trout but trout aren’t planted in there.[/black] [/black][black][black]One place I would like to ice fish is Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir. Salmon Falls Creek reservoir has been good for rainbows including a few larger ones. There are also some big walleye in there as well as some perch and smallmouth bass. Don’t forget to bring a copy of regulations with you for wherever you decide to fish. It will give whoever isn’t driving something to read on your way. If the fishing isn’t very good at one place don’t hesitate to pack up and fish another reservoir in the area. For me exploring different places is half the fun. Good luck.[/black] [/black] [signature]

You know where my vote is. That will be good to have Keith back for a while. Let me know where you are going and maybe I'll be able to catch up with you.
