went to scofield today and fished the area near the dam again. fishing was extremely slow in the morning, but picked up somewhat in the afternoon. small jigs, deadsticked, worked best. i was pretty disappointed, but not surprised that we managed only a handful of fish. three other groups we talked to had even worse results. (they didnt stick around for the afternoon bite)that area has been pretty hammered. all well, it was still fun. ice was near a foot deep and clear. snow was around 6 inches deep on the ice. it was very cold this morning! it didnt get overly warm as the day went on either. i think im ready to try another body of water and give scofield a rest!

bk I wonder if it was slow around most of that reservoir? Do you usually fish near the dam? A foot of ice...not used to that up here in Cache Valley!

that is my favorite area, but i usually quit fishing it after a few weeks of ice because it slows down. down by the island is pretty good at times too. i will probably focus on strawberry now though.
